FARM BUSINESS SKILLS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The NSW Government has developed a $45 million Farm Business Skills Professional Development Program
to support farm business in all conditions, but particularly preparing for and responding to drought.

The program is to encourage peer learning and/or coaching, and a supportive environment to build
capacity and knowledge within the business.

The program encompasses;
• management of risk
• financial and business management
• farm business planning/drought preparedness

Farmers are able to apply for a range of approved courses in the above areas.

Reimbursement of costs is available from the RAA for up to 50% of eligible costs upon completion of a
course.

Maximum reimbursement of $5,000 applies for any farm, with reimbursements capped at $9,000 per
farm business.
